Yeah. CrazyNewbieGuy and Eagle are stuck in the late 1980's where it was thought the Steam and CS 1.4 are genetically bound forever.
Steam does not work with custom models. That would ruin the point of Steam, in that it downloads the entire game from Speakeasy servers.
Custom models might be banned in CS 1.4. I highly doubt it. If I don't know, I can certainly tell you that Crazy and Eagle weren't informed by someone in Valve.Comment

true...its either yes or no but 1 thing is certain....we can speculate all we want but till 1.4 comes out we dont know,unless some1 at valve tells me
