We're proud to present our latest strategy author: keZuki, quite possibly an azn senzation. As his first job, he has written two great map strategies. Both strategies contain tips for teamplay, frag whores, and fans of the AWM. They should be interesting for everyone, regardless of your playstyle.



First up is Aztec, narby's popular defusion map:

Terrorists

The water and secondary bombsite are two areas where CTs wait to pick you off. For starters, keep an eye out on the bridge so you do not be maimed or hit there. Keep on the dry banks and away from the water, it slows you down too much. Also, the water emits a sound when someone goes in and comes out of it. Run up the stairs ahead to the right and keep clear of the other ramp because it gives you no cover what-so-ever.

Next, keZ takes a look at another popular defusion map, Train:

Frag Hints

As a T, I recommend you rush through one of the paths and attempt to eliminate your opponents from the side or from the rear. Also climb atop the trains to surprise the CTs with attacks from above. Of course, this is assuming that there are no opponents on the roof near the tall ladder.

Hmmm...the article on Aztec is good for newbies. but DO NOT CAMP IN THAT BOX. It is VERY easy to get killed. i dunno wtf keZuki was thinking; That box is just a trap.

it is suppose to help people otherwise they are newbies or not. and it is an alright place to camp for people coming from the loft, not the water.

actually no, it's not a good camping spot AT ALL. All the enemy has to do is strafe and shoot. Since you are immobilized, you just kinda sit there and die. Sure, you can shoot back, but who do you think has the advantage here? YOU'RE TRAPPED IN A BOX!!!

Question : On the advertisement for the X3 strategy guide, on the map strategy page, why does it state, "Written by the best clan in the world."



It was my understanding they were beaten at the CPL by NiP, and just recently whipped pretty hard by ~1st~.

Nothing new, serisously, the best way to set up a clan strats is to DL a top demo from the geekboys and turn on the FULL-SCREEN OVERVIEW mode (must be in HLTV format of course). It only takes half a hour to figure out a nice strat for a map. Hand-written strat for CS is a joke. Nice attempt though, newbs might find it helpful

I use the bigger ramp when going the water-way, when supporting terrorists.

Jump-Throw a flashbang into the sky from the bottom of the ramp and run up the ramp whilst looking down...then kick some non-cheater butt.
