I am thinking that they only want LPB because of the strain on the server while downloading the patch. They dont want you to be on it for a few days. :E

It downloads the entire game. 56k would NOT work.

im glad theya re doing this testing. usually when they release a new beta/version somthing is wrong. on 1.1 i think vegas was missing from the update, but it was in the full install. and 7.1 came out very recently after 7.0 for some reason.



oh well testing is a good idea but dont get your hopes up that you will get picked. expect a "sorry, try again"

Theres no way anyones gonna get in now, they probably have 5000+ E-mails sitting in there mailbox. I dont think they have the time to sift through each one, reading 5000 system specs. That would be a miracle if i got chosen. Been playing cs since a week or 2 after it came out... [with exception of quiting most of 1.1 because of cheaters] its been almost 3 years... wow.. how cs has changed..

I think they should add more security to logging in so those 'uber-r337 h4x0rz' sharing user/pass codes don't go around saying how l337 they are. It's annoying.
