    interview: pitchford

CS-Nation has just got its Randy Pitchford interview in the mail! Included with the interview are three new pictures. Two are at the highest resolution, so be sure to ``scope'' those. Anyhow, here's a tidbit from the interview:
CS-Nation: Will the multiplayer component feature any scenarios currently not in Counter-Strike?

Randy Pitchford: Yes. There are a few new scenarios we've created. One or two of them we'll include in the final game and they'll be available in multiplayer games.
Go read it! Our Condition Zero Information section will be updated later.

My question was so blindingly spectacular, it would have taken the limelight.

        So they didn't add it.

Will our custom models still work in CZ if we download this so-called patch?

Well, 1.4 be out approximately 3 months after they say so, so i'm guessing by 4th quarter of 2002, maybe 3rd quarter 2003 for CS:CZ :)

Over a hundred model combinations are possible, meaning your teammates and yourself can easily look unqiue.
But I imagine you can still have a bunch of people dress the same and look like a team, right? I mean, it looks so ghetto seeing a group of highly-trained Counter-Terrorists running around all dressed different, like they're neighborhood watch or something.

                          My question got in!

To bad it was covered up with more player model nonsense.

My question was specifically directed at weapon animations. Your weapon is your best friend in cs, it should be created with more attention to detail then player models. Weapons are always on the screen, player models are not. Anyway, goose's player animations came in the later beta's. His weapon anims were special, the player anims were not.

Obviously my question was the best, and it's also obvious that he tried to dodge it. Anti-Tank weapons do not work on infantry. The blast is concentrated on a miniscule point, and pushed through.. if you were hit with a LAW, it would either fly straight through you (since it is expecting tough armor to set off it's charge), or it would explode, and send a white-hot, cylindrical piece of molten metal through your body and out the other side... killing you, perhaps, but not doing any harm whatsoever to anyone near you. And if it misses everyone, but hits within a few feet? No damage done to anyone... they might feel the concussion wave.

                              Yea Luftwaffle.....

Black Hawk Down also came out a long time after the LAW was put in CS:CZ anyway......funny isn't it?
