    UKT Art #2

UKTerrorist has posted chapter two of their art coverage. You can submit your own art to art@ukterrorist.com, so be sure to whip up some masterpieces. Here's a sample from this chapter's batch:

The commentary doesn't really do much (I guess that's the intent, art is art, not some jackass talking about art), which is fine, except most of the images aren't all that great. Hopefully next time UKT will get some more and better submissions. Get on it, cs-art forum!

Yes basket that's right, we host him so we need to 'suck up'....fool. Like St_G says, look forward to your art work next Chapter. (Actually, if it is good then I'm sure Stg will welcome it :)

Further more, getting "high quality" work isn't always easy. There aren't many people who know the very best software, very well. Similarly, just becasue it's not a 3dsmax scene, doesn't mean it's not good. I'd much rather have a mix of media. But of course, you'd know that, because you'd have read my news post.

And, i'm sure scud will agree with me in the fact that there isn't enough artwork sent in to the respective sites these days.

Rizzuh who are you too judge what art is good and what's not?. I wasn't aware you were an artist. Everyone's opinion of a artwork varies and it's always open to interpretation. Someone might think the most famous artworks in Florence to be complete baff, while others marvel out their splendor for hours. The point is comments like that one are better put on the comments page rather than passed off as a fact on the news page. One might even go as far to say that that newspost was 'highly opinionated'.

Who is anyone to judge art, im totally with myers here, some may considering a fisherman, waist deep in artic water, with his maggot freezing up to be art, or another person may consider a sweaty naked bell ringer art. This artist obviously created this image as a direct result of his enviroment and his up bringing and is sitting feeling only ecstacy and in contact with his inner-body and mind. I see a career in the music industry for this young man.

Only artists can judge art? I created the site logos, this clearly means that I am a professional artist just like the people who create horrible cs images.

Call my post opinionated. I don't give a damn. If you recall, clownpot, I told Rottencrotch that it was stupid to call the article opinionated in the first place. But please cast your little paint brush from other people on to me.

Almost all of that 'art' is unappealing and fairly ugly. I put my opinions in news posts and until this site becomes more than a personal hobby, none of this will change. I tell my users the truth, not the hype.

I'm sure UKT is happy with the link and image. It's not their fault I don't like some of the art. Please submit more art to them, it's clear you're an artist and thus your opinion of the art matters.

St_G gives his "opinions" on the art. They're all positive. Negative opinions are clearly invalid, but positive opinions are a-okay? That's inconsistent.

I don't give negative opinions, because in an "art" sense, nothing is incorrect.

I agree. I have nothing against UKT and you're clearly providing a service and medium, but personal taste comes into play when art comes rolling around.

I hope you don't believe I think my opinions shall be taken as fact.

Well there is alot to be said for constructive criticism. He is in charge of an art website based on user submissions. He has to give positive encouragement to his sumbissions more than nasty criticism. I think he gave a solid effort between positive notes and points to improve on many of the images. Besides he does have a comments section to allow for mass flamings.
