    Misc, etc. 2

DaveJ, mapper of de_dust and de_cole has released his latest Half-Life single player project, ETC2. It only took him two and a half years, but in that time he created many images that express his disinterest with pop culture.

No, DaveJ, we we're not following you -- you are lost.

Cool! I love good HL single player mods.

(Valve if you hear me, release some new TF2 screenshots please.)

DaveJ? Single Player HL Mod? Cool!

Heh - No cheating to be found in a single player mod, this should make a welcome change.

ps. DaveJ's map PA_FACT rocks. If you're reading this DaveJ, can we have a version of this with more grenades and some handguns? PA_FACT should be a std. CS map.

DaveJ is hosted by a GameSpy site. You'll notice we rarely use FilePlanet here (sotd, calendars).

i found a pretty good download place, that is decently fast:

                  www.ausgamers.com

Its in australia, but it sure as hell beats the speeds of File Planet, and ther are no waiting lines and such

I played a bit of ETC 2 and I have to say that the architecture of the levels is very true to the original Half-Life and I had some fun playing them. There are a couple bugs tho, most notably a script bug that kept killing off a scientist I needed to move on in the story... maybe that happened because I was running from 30 foot high monster at the time?? oh well.
