WorldCyberGames is doing a poll to select which games will be played at their next event.

The World Cyber Games Organizing Committee is now conducting an opinion poll of general gamers to select official game events for the 2002 World Cyber games. Your participation in this poll will contribute to preparing an improved World Cyber Games this year. New released game title CDs will be offered to 2 lucky participants who will be randomly chosen at the end of the poll. These two gift winners will receive congratulatory e-mails within the month of March 2002.

The poll is bogus, it forces you to choose 5 pc games and value them equally ! The only game i am interested in is counter strike, and i had to choose some other games as well. naturally I choose some i have heard abit about and played as well, and the same thing will be the case for all the other voters. The consequence of this is that all the most hyped games like quake or ages of empires is going to win the poll, even if the voter vanted their votes to go to games like counter strike...

But; it is not the right way to get the 5 most popular games.



Look at what is played most at the net today, its CS. On the poll, CS isn't on the top 5 list. Thats because all the FPS guys vote CS, Quake, and then some, but the RTS guys haven't even heard of CS, so they vote RTS games and Quake.... Even if they don't care for it.
