      I agree, hilarious.
obviously you haven't either, otherwise you'd know that the word is well. Please, learn to use and love adverbs D:
Try re-reading my post and you will notice I quoted Lazor explicitly, then implicitly, I thought it was some of the more obvious irony.

Yes, and there is nothing quite like those who struggle with grammar being impressed simply by seeing it used correctly. That might have been the point of my last post, but you obviously need it spelled out, with the correct grammar of course. I also found it funny that in the above quote there is a 3rd grade grammar mistake. Make making made vodka.

Blitz it was a nice article, impressive given the discipline shown in the writing and the age of the writer, but a simple piece none-the-less. Thats context and thats all I was saying.

The sad thing is there ARE people in the world like the guy in the article - one of the sadnesses brought on by a masterpiece like Counter-Strike. Which is what CS really is - a masterpiece of a game that requires skill, nerves and gives you an adrenaline rush. Plus there is the "reward" system: I personally have always thought it is a major psychological additive to the game that whenever you frag someone a green $300 sign whips across your screen - this flashing green thing (and other colorful actions in the game) offer a subliminal reward system to the player. Call me crazy but I think that these types of visual and audio reinformcments are what make CS so addictive to intelligent people.

You know, thats probably the most insightful thing I have seen expressed here since I can remember. Very cool Aibohphobia.

(His name is also cool; Aibohphobia = the fear of palindromes, which is just a blatant exercise in literary wit, love it ).

            I presume, "thats" = "that's" ?

            Sorry, couldn't resist :)

Btw, I agree, witty name Aibohphobia.

Black Fair: You'll be the first and maybe the only person I'm replying to about my article .

I've been writing for over a year, and during that time I've come to realize what my writing style emcompasses. My sentence structure is very simple, but the overall story, or point, is somewhat complex.

I really don't see where you come off saying this is a mediocre, simple piece of work. I wouldn't have thought so if I read it. And neither did the others who read it. This was a trip into the mind of a 42 year old man who lives in a reality he can't face, simply because he loves a game.

I don't like to accept the fact that "he's 14, it's good enough for a 14 year old". Because if check my email and the comments at UKT, you'll see a majority of them don't consider this 14 year old writing. Most of the think a 42 year old man wrote it, which is what I set out to do. It was written in a first person perspective for that express purpose.

So, don't be a "lonely critic" and label it as "simple". Because the amount of detail and the way this guy thinks, his life and this story is not simple. Some of the greatest books have simple sentences and dialouge, but they have a brillantly complex story that leaves the reader mezmorized. Maybe you're the one who hasn't read a well written book.

                      The Oracle:

First off, I respect your writing and I respect you - you deserve this because of how you carry yourself.

To repeat myself your work was consistent and thorough - its obviously a polished piece of writing. I hope I have not affected your confidence in your writing because confidence, in my opinion, is the key to being a good writer.

Just to address a few things in your post:
I really don't see where you come off saying this is a mediocre, simple piece of work.
I never said it was mediocre. It is not. Simple? well...
Some of the greatest books have simple sentences and dialouge
... it is this quote that shows that we both agree that simple and mediocre are not interchangeable. Whether you are a fan of such a style of writing is simply a matter of taste I must admit.
I don't like to accept the fact that "he's 14, it's good enough for a 14 year old"
I understand what you are saying here, but consider however that there is something invaluable to any profession and thats experience. I was giving my opinion of you as a writer, not of you as a 14 year old. Look forward to the fact that, and it is a fact, your writing can only improve.

I believe simple is still a valid criticism of the piece - though given that you achieved your purpose it is, perhaps, an irrelevant one. It is good that you have recieved such positive responses; it is these that my first post was primarily addressing rather than the quality of your piece itself. I simply found amusement in people who cannot construct grammaticaly correct sentences passing judgement on a piece of writing. This to me is almost meaningless. I have probably just taken the whole thing, audience and all, too seriously again. Maybe someone needs to tell me that its "just an article".

I very much agree with you Black Fair, now that we've both made our points intelligently. :)

But I just want to say, I decided to write this article because I was tired of hearing the regular, "cheater this and cheater that". I wrote it to provide entertainment to you guys, in a time when there has been nothing to really laugh about.

I hope all of you enjoyed it.

OK First of all there are a few mistakes in the piece.

                              1. You don't leave counterstrike to eat dinner. It should be brought to you so that you can eat at the computer during free look while waiting for the next round.

                              2. The connection in Ohio gets better at night not worse.

                              3. When playing CS you don't leave at 9pm. In fact, you don't stop playing until your eyes start to hurt. usually around 11:00pm

                              Thought this might help

                              : )

actually, point 3 should be changed to read 2-5am.
