Erik Johnson - The 1.1.0.9 update should be released next month and it will mark the beginning of our new anti-cheating efforts.

Only a few weeks until 1.4?

I hope that the anti-cheating measures that valve implements will be more than just being able to ban.. if you can get banned for using these cheats in 1.4, then that means that the cheats are still functional...

To be honest, it sounds like 1.4 is gonna be a let down with regards to cheating. How confident can Valve be about their AntiCheat if they also need to ban people after the release?

Guys i need some help. When i walk into a cheat protected server, the thing

automatticly bans me and says im cheating. I have never downloaded cheats

and all of a sudden it says im using flautz wall hack or some shit. really

weird. I have no clue what to do. Like 2 weeks ago i downloaded this auto

connect half-life thing from csnation.com... I uninstalled it after i kept

on getting banned from servers... I also uninstalled half-life and cs then i

reinstalled them.. then i deleted my half life restristry things... AND

STILL IT BANS ME!!! what am i supposed to do?? im banned from sooo many

servers now. I am clueless. Has anyone had this problem??? It makes no

sense, i have no cheats on my comp. i have never downloaded cheats either...

If anyone has any help send me a message. Im gonna go look at some public

boards

what about instead of banning cheaters it wiped out your hard drive... then people might think twice about cheating.

Think of the amount of HL Keys that they will have to ban; does this mean all who hasn\'t bought the game with personal keys will now be forced to buy copies of HL or CZ just to play; I will be only glad of course to buy CZ to play online if my key gets banned because I got it off the net. I haven't found any key gens for CS that works but I haven't looked to hard. What if a hack with key gen keeps generating keys thats other people have or is Valve using WonID's? But it’s cool a positive gesture results in instant positive karma for Valve IMHO. This will definitely hurt the underground community; those like warez and the other small minority thats cheats at video games, all very dramatic. Personally I never cheated before; I’ve been curious about how it looks like then I dl the video floating around the net and I got my fill. It’s so simple to hack; I mean to dl something and install it; how hard is that?!? Just to piss others off? It’s a the gestures comparable to boys who are cruelled to small animals! Gone are the days of hacks that are discrete; now we have shit talkin solo noob warriors. HAHA its fun to see the community evolve. Anyway can’t wait for 1.4; the best FPS ever.
