Hmmmmm, this one seems to pop up every where but it doesn't quite do it for me. If someone re-skinned it this would indeed be a good replacement but this is more of a token model than what you would choose to use over the rest.

There is quite a bit of clipping that kicks me in the rear, mainly on the fire sequences and idle (that I noticed) with the thumb/palm passing into the fore-grip (you'd think his glove would be singed by the gas cylinder ). But what I do like is that you actually pull the charging handle rather than the forward assist.

Another thing that struck me was the poly count; it seemed a bit higher than what you normally see for an older model (2600). But the M203 version had a few poly count saving tactics taken into consideration, namely the removing of the end of the stock and faces on the M203 and magazine. Although there is a bit more on the M203 version it only comes in at 3133 so not too shabby.

    OK but nice enough

Anyone care to explain how the forward assist works (not what it does internally but what do you do push, or pull?).

I think that a good skin can make you play better, im using the CS CZ olt right now and im just owning =)...

i used this in 1.5 its an amazing skin, what i like about it most is that it actually looks perfectly realistic, but other m4 models look cheap and mis-shaped.

But the arms, i think are terrible, and the clipping does get annoying.

      but still.... Great job

My forever love. I used this m4 for so long when counterstrikecenter.com was still up. (except then it was the camo version, oh well) They're high-enough poly, and you should like 'em.

With the m203 (nade launcher), it's my love. All the little nicks and doo-dads make you feel like Arnold in a Terminator movie. It makes the m4 bulky and feel not like a skimpy light-weight. The sounds go good with this one, they sound like a mac-10 hitting glass.

It's a different story without the nade launcher. The skin is great, but the sounds don't go well with it. (think of a USP sounding like a mortar) It seems to overpower the gun. If you want a plain m4 that's high poly and smooth animations then get the Ultimate M4, or get the same one wit'out the weird reloading sequence Here.

10 out of 10 'cause it's been my favorite for so long; I can't let go! There probably is some clipping but I don't notice it. I like the arms (does he shave? ack) They're that nice tan without the popping veins or Lego arms. I'm looking at my enemy when I'm shooting not my gun! Anywho, It looks great in 1024x768. I'm sorry for y'all that have to have 800x600, I weep for you. ;(

Hex Sexy , Now this is what a good model should look like , although I agree with Mr.T about the clipping and animation. But you can't not give it 10/10 it is utterly stunning.

It's a very nice model, don't get me wrong, it's just that the arms/hands are 70% darker complected than every other weapon model set. That really bugs me

It is a really nice model. you really cant notice the clipping on the silencer animation that much.

still the best M4 in existence, the clipping is not noticable at all and the skin looks rough and default-ish, which is perfect. i dont like the M203 model.....its not functional and it looks gay, but that wont affect my score.

you never needed to recompile this though..the original came with v_xxx_r models, and was already defaulted to the left. the P_ model also worked fine with 1.6 in the old version. oh, well its still the best

based on pure eye-candy, this gun definitely rocks. the lettering on the silencer, the detail given to the model ... hell it makes me feel like i'm a spec-ops team member when i run around with it. :)

an old favorite i'm happy to see still kicking around!

I like the useless attachment - makes the gun feel beefy, fits, and doesn't get in the way.
