de_rotterdam wasnt a bad map. It was a bit large, but that makes you hunt your enemies, rather than just rush and play it like deathmatch. When you can predict the other team, it makes the game suck.

I liked the old beta 6 cs_747, where the open area was much larger.



de_survivor's an okay map, but 3dmike's maps (as rze said) are pure eye candy.



de_deadlock, I thought at first was good. But when I actually played it, it lagged the living lag out of me. :)

The current official worst CS map has to be de_vertigo, man that map sucks on so many levels.

Dunno about that, I think de_rotterdam beats it for pure suckiness. vertigo can actually be fun.

Actualy the map you ar all fogetting is es_jail.I hate that map.

Most of my favorite maps are maps that aren't official anymore.

I can't understand why people like survivor or torn. Torn somehow prevents people from using skill AND teamwork simultaniously and survivor is just awful. Storm is great! I don't know why it isn't more popular

You guys are on crack. Survivor is an annoying map, especially teh snow area where the truck is. My fps takes a big doo doo right there. Storm is a nice maps because it reminds me of cbble (very good skill map). Torn just straight out sucks. It's nearly impossible to find a teamate that'll stay with you... when csnation and phl were ooh-ing and aww-ing Torn I actually bought into the hype. I even saw a few 24/7 Torn servers the first day 1.3 came out, and they quickly changed back to Dust teh next day (says something about that map, huh). Anyway, I just wanted to give my two cents, it's not like it's gonna make a difference.

Hmm I haven't seen these mythical screenies of this new de_747 but what's it look like compared to the old-school cs_747? That map was a good idea with some very poor mapping here and there (especially when making your way into the plane...yech.)



By the way, just to throw my hat in the pile, I agree that survivor really needs help but I don't know about criticism of torn...I rather like it, actually. Storm bites the big one, and while rotterdam is VERY well detailed and convoluted, it's only really fun for those who don't mind taking their time searching for ppl to kill (especially in the late-round.) I'd say Thunder is in that needs-help category, though.



Oilrig. Now there's a map that needs to be played more often. Those AS maps don't get enough play these days...we need more good ones. ::ahem, MAPPERS::
