I'm sure that realism is out the window where CS is concerned. But if you think like a counter-terrorist, you would hardly be jumping around corners and jumping around to escape a sniper.

Thats just BS.
I play CS and Q3 and i dont jump as much in Q3 as i do to get positioning, catch an enemy up, etc in CS.
So all you ppl who have heard others say "if you wanna jump around , go play quake3." and then say it yourself's to make yourself seem 1337 and know what your talking about, just shut-up coz you dont really do you?
Also ppl who say that jumping around is wjat newbs do , thats just aload of bollox too.

I'll sign no petition. If you feel that jumping around like a fool is vital to your tactics then your tactics are flawed. CS isn't meant to be played like that. It's meant to be a game that relies heavily on teamwork and not your ability to make jumping headshots with a deagle.
I hope this new jump style is a precursor to things to come too. I hope they'll eventually take out other things like being able to jump while running backwards (ever try to do that irl?), being able to strafe from side to side as fast as you currently do (you can't run sideways as fast as you can run forward), being able to spin around on a dime in a split second. Basically, I'd personally like to see movement restricted to reflect how it somewhat is in real life.Comment

A good sniper will destroy even you if you're jumping, a good aimer will take you our first if you're leaping like a maniac.... What is it good for, eh?Comment

Well that wasn't really what I meant. Ignoring the stupid comparisions to Q3 I don't think you should be able to "catch an enemy up" by jumping. You should have to run to get into position. And as a side note, it's not like your going to be the only one that can't jump as much. Meaning, with less jumping you will be able to advance as fast as the other team by running.
Thats just BS.

watch demos of teh top clans in teh world... they do ALOT of jumping... and teh ppl that r saying that this is a good idea because u can still jump around corners r mistaking themselves... letz say u jump around teh corner and duck to improve accuracy but as soon as u do u see 5 enemy t's, but since teh jumping thing is implace u wont b able to move outta teh way quik... and u ppl that r making comments on how this is going to b one of teh best changes to CS eva... wait till u fucking play it then ull c it sux... in case u didnt realize by now im a beta tester so i kno my shitComment

Of course the big teams jump, its allowed its easier to stay alive if you do so surprise surprise they jump.
WHAT we are talking about here is a change in the game that will make it more dangerous and difficult for all. Old tactics will change and new ones will be created. It's that simple.Comment

You'll get shot jumping around corners, yes. You won't be able to DE-jump or AK-jump. Good. CS has turned into nothing more than who can jump first. Perhaps now you'll use your teammates and move around corners as a group.watch demos of teh top clans in teh world... they do ALOT of jumping...
They do "ALOT" of jumping because that's how you have to play to win. They'll have to revise their tactics after this is changed.
