CS-Nation presents Gorktic's take on teamplay and how to do it well. Here's a bit:

What's a team you ask? Well Billy, a team is a group of players that you can cooperate with in order eradicate the opposition. You'll want to be in a team that has the common objective of destroying and obliterating the terrorists rather than trying to "get on the top of the list." Don't just join the terrorists and expect to play as a team though. It's quite possible that you'd say, "Hey lets go back door," only to see each and every one of your teammates scatter throughout the map like mindless morons. You'd have a better chance of getting struck by an airborne credit card or having Jesus make a personal appearance at your birthday party. If you want a team, then go to a LAN party or join a clan.

Why use in-game voice comm? It sucks anyway.

Because it encourages teamplay. You can get friends to play with and use it, or be a lone gunman and not use it at all. Either way, don't knock something until you've used it.

voice comm rocks, but it has a problem of lowering the volume of guns and bombs, which for some reason screws me up during fire fights.

well obviously...but it is annoying never the less. And i can hear fine regardless. Radio commands aren't drowned out.

I do think that its a lot more complex than communication. Once a team/clan gets good together, there is almost no need for communication, because of radar, the knowledge of what the strat is beforehand, and knowledge of teammates playing styles.

erm..i'm from singapore and singaporeans really DO NOT like the voice comm..becuz...its kinda blur when u try to speak into it..and pple wit-out VOice-Ettiqute juz go on and on about how did they do on their sex bed....That sucked. =)

We usually use Binded "SAy_team" to assist us...and some radio commands too...

One really irritating Point in CS are those really wussy lil Pharkin' Newbies..when all the team mates are down..they juz go to one corner and piss in their pants... That sucks. =P

Some of yo team mates might even camp at a crate and smile at you when u get shot to death...they dun even bother to lend u a AK47... =(

Voice com is a great way to help tell each other whats happening well if you have a good comp and mic it is anyway lol its help me out alot when am getting shot to hell and i get traped in a tunnel or something and i shout for help and tell them were i am without haveing to take ma hand of ma mouse to type :) even f your playing with your mates on a server it can be a good laugh .. if ya have not used it or not got mic i insit you give it a try :)

It's sorta weird if you use a Voice Com sometimes, Say if i have custom sounds, in which i do, And someone has there mic loud and is talking, You could hear there default or there custom sounds. But sometimes its best for strats. Because if your fighting or need backup by the time you start typing your already dead inless you type like, super fast. In which i do because i don't have a mic. As well all you have too do is hold a key and yell need backup or something or however you would like too talk on it. And i agree Camo, I don't really post stuff much. But hey, im bored so
