HL Protocol 3.0 Released

This cute little utility has received an update, and may be just what you are looking for if you like to simplify your gaming experience into as few clicks as possible. Lazy beanz. Here is a list of what HL Protocol 3.0 can do for you:

• launch half-life and connect to a server by clicking a link in your web-browser
  
  
• support for all mods
  
  
• support for counter-strike retail
  
  
• launch required anticheat, like sentinel or paladin
  
  
• asks for password before connecting if the server is locked
  
  
• wait for a free slot before trying to join if the server is already full
  
  
• launch and enter server-address manually if needed

I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't want this handy dandy little helper on your hard drive so give it a try. Let me know if it sucks.

I'm sure this little nifty app is good, but last time i Downloaded it, (an earlier version) it did something to some of my system files so I can't play CS in D3D mode without getting my Screen divided in four and with purple colour all over the screen

Huh? I honestly don't mess around with your system files. Nor did v2.0. The only things I do are adding keys to your registry in the section that explorer (the shell, not Iexplorer) uses to find the default app to open a file with, and to copy one executable into the HL directory. V2 were even cleaner (no executable).

Honestly.. ive never touched a hack....

This happend after i uninstalled the app.



What happens when i Turn on an Internet game in D3D is:

The Screen is divided into 4 screens(2 axes) and the 2 down is black.. the upper two is mirrors and are influenced by purple...

i dunno if it was some sort of system files or not, but the same D3Dproblem happens when i start similar online games D3D like Day of Defeat. I uninstalled HL and CS and reinstalled it but it dint make any difference....
