Admin Mod Exploit

[CSN NewsBot]

That crazy alfred of of Admin Mod fame has found out that some crazy folks are using exploits to get control of servers and do such things as make annoying green text appear on screen. There are two fixes:

• the best solution is to use wonid's only in your server.cfg. by using wonid's you will remove the method of attack that is being used. if you still wish to protect your nickname put it below your wonid with the access level 16384. this will reserve your name but you will gain admin mod priveleges through your wonid.
  
  
  
  
• turn off reserved name status (subtract 16384 from the access level) and only use admin_password to enter your password once you have entered your server. this method will not reserve your nickname but it will stop the attack.

It doesn't matter what you do there will be other ways to get admin mod control. They will find a way to hack that. By the way I do support cheating/hacking. I say good for who ever devised such a hack to take control of the server. Some admins are so stupid and worse than cheaters. Rizzuh it doesn't matter what you tell them to do..... you anti-cheaters are just punchlines in a hackers/cheaters world just deal with it. CHEATERS AND HACKERS OWN there are other ways to find out an admins password. It doesn't matter!!!!

You guys really are slow on news, you have been able to get AdminMod passwords for a while. Just browse to your harddrive, select a file that AdminMod puts onto your computer when you join a server with AdminMod, which, if an admin logged on while you were playing on that server will contain an AdminMod password for that name.

we were owned by something you downloaded, that anyone could download if they wanted, and "own" as you put it...

The meaning of the word "own" was origenated before people wanted to cheat in games... So I dont believe its fair to apply that term to this convorsation..
