I never use it on servers myself, besides, you can´t even walk outside the bomb-area (youi did mention that, I believe?). It looks quite fun though

I´ve also found a perfect place to wait for incoming T´s on Dust. It´s not camping and it requires special circumstances, but it can be useful, since you´ll always know if they´re comin´or not.

ok, dust was fun back at beta 4. Now it's a spawn for n00bs and h4x. This is off topic but, I hate ppl comming in to a server and annoying the fuck out of everyone to change the map to dust. I mean, there's like 2000 servers running dust, why do they come in to a server with a different map and bug the crap out of us instead of going to a 24/7 dust server..... n00bs...

Ya know, ikilledu, I agree with you to a certain extent: Dust is somewhat overplayed. However, it still is just about the most balanced map out there, and in my opinion one of the best maps for CS.

Now it's a spawn for n00bs and h4x

I wish these things were confined to Dust but I don't think that's the case. You're gonna find these freaks wherever you go.

I know you've noticed that people like Dust quite a bit from its extreme proliferation. By the way, if you don't like playing Dust, it's no difficult task to go find a server playing some other map when the Dust comes on or to try to start a mapvote against it. Anyhow, I feel some sympathy for your opinions but I'm not sure I agree.

Whoever took those screenshots could have at least turned up their settings somewhat. Looks like they took them at 640 X 480 with all the detail turned down a bunch. All the texture detail and the curves detail is turned down to mimimal settings. For those of you who don't play quake at all, I guarantee that map probably looks ten times better than Dust in CS.
