Thorin of Cybernews.com had the chance to get an interview with Erik "Medion" Engstrom of the top Counter-Strike clan in the world, Ninjas in Pyjamas. As many of you already know, NiP were recently the winners of 50,000 beanz at the CPL tournament in Dallas in December. Click Here to jump right to the interview.

Dr. Bulldog from DR Crew did an Interview of XeqtR from Clan NiP. XeqtR talks about leaving NiP and rejoining, about their sponsorships, their training schedule and lots more.

Seeing as the first CPL Europe will be 18+ cause of the german laws how will NiP solve this problem? Which members aren't 18? when will they be 18?



IF in fact CPL will put a +18 age limit, we will have Ahl, Hyb, Potti, vessland and myself in the team. Since HeatoN and Medion aren't 18 yet;((, HeatoN will turn 18 this summer, Medion some time next year i think. Hope cpl can work something out tho so the age limit will be reduced to 16, since mostly every team is affected by this "stupid" LAW in germany.

NiP Interview

Formerly the powerhouse Counter-Strike division of top multi-gaming organization SK-Gaming, the entire crew consisting of HeatoN, potti, ahl, fisker, SpawN, and Hyper recently parted ways with SK to reform Ninjas in Pyjamas, and picked up vilden to solidify their roster. Xplayn interviewed each and every member during a photoshoot, with topics ranging from differences between NiP and SK, future plans, and much more.

How do you feel the game has developed during the years? For the better or for the worse?

Counter-Strike was a lot faster and less professional during the earlier versions and a lot more fun when playing public. Nowadays it's perfect for competitive playing with MR15 and the 1.5 roundtime.



And how about the scene, how would you describe the development of the eSport-scene during the past 3-4 years?

3-4 years ago the scene was a lot smaller, and it was almost like everybody knew everybody, nowadays it's a lot more like a sport. There is a lot of cash involved and a lot of players spending all their time to make it to the big teams, just like in any other big sport.

I just downloaded that 4k vs nip demo one of the guys was talking about, and its sickning to see how bad that demo was recorded! Every round you get to stare at some models face for the whole round and never see what they are shooting at, just use locked chase mode damnit!!!

Whine to Valve about their netcode, anticheat and let the guns be the same for every beta instead of changing them all the time.

Every. Beta.



I wish some people would accept that new versions means new balance. Frankly, I'm tired of valve being too AFRAID to balance the game. Hello, the AK kills everyone in two shots. Please fix this sometime this century, because no one did in the last one.

2 shots? um, 3-4 to the torso. Yes it is an best gun for the amount of money it costs, but considering how much recoil it has and how good your aim must be to own with it I think it is a very balenced gun. It is certainly the perfect answer to spray and pray Colt users (with the silencer on). 2 bursts from the ak finishes them.

10) Have you played CS 1.4 yet ? any thoughts on the changes ?



Ive not played CS 1.4 myself, but ofcourse read/heared about the others who have tried it. The jumping thing, will ruin whats left of the fun in cs i think...The game will be for AWP users and CAMPERS...and that they always have to change recoil on weapons in every new version is just not necessery in my oppinion. The bugfixxes and the new ingame featuers such as ineye chasecam sounds promising tho.

Ok the changes in the jumping was quite STUPID in my opinion especially the part in the planting of the bomb...

I sometimes enjoy the awp, but it is a weapon I need practice in because it takes some skill in using it.... I agree that recoil changes isn't really necessery....
