I guess last week's poll shows that Counter-Strike is still expected to be the entertainment of choice in competition with the big consoles. I think CS:Condition Zero will be a refreshing change. It also looks like the PS2 is still doing better than XBox and GC. No big surprise there.

i had a sneak peak of an X-Box at meadowhall, and it seemed like such low framerates, maybe it was because it wasnt finnished i dunno, but the gamecube looked v good.

Coming from the CS community then obviously the votes would be centred on Counter-Strike/CZ, stick the poll on PS2 Web page and it will say differ.

I felt certain that CS would come out on top. The question was, by how much?



Personally, I selected PS2 because while I intend on playing CS quite a bit, I dont think I'll be playing it as much as my PS2.



Being a CS fan doesnt mean you play it more than anything else.

Ok, now comon people. As someone else said, considering that this is a COUNTER-STRIKE SITE!!! the votes are going to be biased towards Counter-Strike!!



PS2, XBox, and Gamecube all kick ass, and I personally own a Gamecube and am EXTREMELY satisfied. Saying that "XBox has low framerates" is a stupid statement generalizing everything. Halo may stutter here and there, but DOA 3 looks better than anything on PC right now and runs at a constant 60 frames per second. It's the software, not the system.



Plus, and I'm not saying that XBox is a PC, because it's not - it's a game console, but people visiting a PC games site are going to like XBox just a tad more. With an integrated ethernet adapter and hard drive, PC game fans are more inclined to go to XBox than the other systems. Once again, I'm not saying XBox is just like a PC and blah blah blah, I'm saying that PC gamers are going to probably like XBox more.



Me? I would've picked Gamecube if I found the poll soon enough. With Metroid, Perfect Dark, Zelda, Star Fox, Mario, and countless others, you can't go wrong. Sure, an integrated online plan would be nice, but I have a PC to do that. Anyways, Nintendo is releasing an add-on modem, and while add-ons usually aren't very successful, I have a feeling Nintendo knows how to use it.

I own a PS2 and a Gamecube, as well as a new Alienware PC and I still use the PC more. But if I had to choose between PS2 and GameCube, right now I would choose PS2. GameCube doesn't have many games out yet, but being a Nintendo loyalist as long as I can remember, I know they'll do good.
