I'm not sure about $4000, but it is expensive.

All I do is get the cd's from work, bring em home, burn em, and bring em back, that easy.

You want software? I got software!

30 cents for one, 2 for a quarter!

It's expensive because everyone burns them. Maybe the price would go down if someone bought it.

Congratulations, you help destroy the economy and cause people to lose their jobs. I doubt you care but I just thought I should inform you.

The reason MAX is so expensive is because it can make a whole game from scratch.

The developer of the game then sells his game and makes a lot more than the $4000 he paid for the program.

For instance Alone in the dark 4 was made entirely (aesthetically) in MAX.

The background renders the characters the models and even the rendered movies.

Half life was made with MAX as well.

All the code-programming is usually done with another, cheaper (sometimes in-house), program.

MAYA (used to make the Final Fantasy movie) is also available over the net. $20.000.

                  Scary.
