CS is way to boring now unless you only jsut started the versions basically suck as during the betas we got huge changes everytime new wep's etc.

Now things are just plain boring so players cheat to spice things up a little.

I've been playing CS since BEta 4 and the new versions jsut aren't fun anymore, so occasionally I cheat to make things more interesting.

Wait. This is the same Elynduil that said Americans only care about themselves, yet you take it upon yourself to ruin other people's games to make your experience more enjoyable? Elynduil, you're really a piece of work.



If you want to spice it up, go play another game. I've been playing CS even before it was released to the public and I have never cheated in more than a five minute test span. I haven't even done that since kuso's legendary maphack.

i cheat against bots every time a new cheat comes out, cuz it makes it ten times easier when someone wants you to spot a cheater. once you know what the cheats can do, and the behavior they cause, you can spot cheaters pdq.



any ways, i'm more sick of this than the cheaters themselves.

cheating is in no way hacking. hacking is breaking into someones computer, not using a "hack"



maybe homelan should put up 4 newbie training centers, so i dont have to listen to "SHUT UP HACKER, BLAH IS HACKING REQUIEM!! BAN BLAH HES HACKING!!!" all day long.



IMO that is about 10 times more annoying than the actual cheaters

To me the idea of cheating servers is good.



It is an interesting way to solve the problem, but it should be obvious this can not, and is not, a solution to cheating in general. So get over it, this won't stop people from cheating, but what CAN it do?

- In any shape, way or form you look at it, there will be cheaters on the server, which as pointed out by Homelan equals their absence in others.

- In some ways it will be more attractive then a regular server: they don't need to 'hide' their cheating, to me it seems as if a whole server of people cheating would just be one big laugh.



So cheaters going there is a good thing, and there are reasons for cheaters to go there. A frequent reason for cheating is to just try it out, here's a place for it.



The closest I have come to cheating is playing on a friends computer which was so dodgey that pressing escape and going into the menu then back into the game screwed the game up so that you had the equivalent of a wall hack for five minutes before counter-strike siezed - I assume it was video card related. Anyway those couple of times where we got those five minutes (sometimes it just siezed straight away heh) it was fun for a laugh - I can see the enjoyment cheaters get. Now I wouldn't mind trying out ogc online, but I never had because I don't want to cheat, I enjoy cs as is and a server full of people wanting a fair game is not the place to use cheats for me (bar the couple examples of hipocrisy with the friend above). These servers offer you the chance to cheat, without, as FuFuFish quite correctly points out, actually cheating. Overall it seems to fulfill a need within the counter-strike community.



As far as it becoming a school for cheaters as one poster mentioned, I belive this is possible, or even guaranteed on a small scale, but on the whole unlikely to affect cheating such as to make it more prevelant on non-cheating servers then less so. The level of cheating is already high, it seems those who want to cheat do.



Again, an interesting solution. One that bears merit and wider testing in my opinion.



Finally a disclaimer I sure don't know what cheaters think and do either ludawg in case I have been to presumptious in having an opinion, I also point out that I am Australian and only have the australian mentality I have met in gaming to base this opinion on.

I think you guys are just ignoring the fact that CS is dying, when it first came out it was great, everyone enjoyed it and everyone had a blast playing it, so no one had the motivation to cheat or change how the game was played because everyone loved it. But what you guys are seeing right now it what happens to every game, when people play it over and over again they begin to spice things up. First came waiting and waiting for the next patch to come out with a new gun or new map, but when people started to get board waiting, they decided to take matters into their own hands and then started to change the models, then after time, people became so burned out with CS that they resorted to cheating to squeeze out that last bit of amusement out of the game, people don’t cheat because they suck at the game or they don’t wanna lose, its because people are just trying to find new ways to play their old game. Right now CS is in its last stage, soon everyone will be cheating, I mean its becoming apart of the game now, I wouldn’t be surprised of the cheats came out in the next patch. But very soon, people will begin to even get tired of cheating, and they will just move on to another game. Believe it or not people, but CS is dying.

i've played on a cheater only server WITHOUT cheats and it sucked, i mean i knew it would, but hey i was bored.



as for cheater vs cheater, i've seen it, it's so fucking stupid. one of them is like "i swear to god he cheats!" and you just want to kick him in the nuts cause he's complaining about cheaters while he does it.



there are two reasons people cheat, a) high scores, b) ruin everyone's fun.



the people that want high scores won't play there cause they're going to make one move and get killed by a headshot that goes through 8 layers of solid cement, 12 ft of gold, kevlar padding, and even a layer of diamonds emmbeded between the cement and gold. their fun will be spoiled by the cheater (who will also have a large score).



the people that want to ruin everyone's fun won't play on these cheat servers cause they'll have people killing them through walls, thus spoiling their fun, and well we can't have that. they'll continue to play on the "don't cheat here or the admin will ban you and you'll have to change cdkeys" servers.

Just because I have more then one wonid doesn't mean that you cheat. I know PLENTY of skilled cs players that are FORCED to have more then one wonid because they get banned from servers who think they cheat. Or maybe I just went out and bought a new copy?You sure do jump to conclusions, you ASSUME (ass-u-me) that just because somebody has more then one wonid they hack, so what other cases may you have jumped the gun? Oh yes, I especially liked the part that I was, "banned by your automatic cheat detection system." LOL, what automatic cheat detection system? If there even IS one then it needs some serious working over, because I didn't have any cheats on my comp at the time. I've had cheats on my comp, strictly for testing, I help some server admins, and I was not using one at the time or even had one installed at the time of bannage. I remember a time when I actually RESPECTED HomeLAN.....WAAAYYYY back when they were actaully a heaven for serious gamers, sadly, this is no more. (I'd hate to see what you would do if somebody from NIN or x3 came onto your servers under a diff name and started to tear it up, hmmmmmm..................)
