Getting Better at CS

When you are moving, your speed is affected by what weapon you have out. The bigger the weapon, the slower you go. You go fastest with your knife out. So when you are certain you are alone, run with your knife out. If you hear footsteps or gunfire nearby, take out your gun!

When your primary weapon is a sniper rifle, if you think there is somebody nearby, but you have to get somewhere, run with your pistol out. Never have your sniper rifle out unless you are in position to snipe. I can’t stress that enough...

So, now I know how to move!

I think this is pretty bad info for new cs players. Campers! I've defeated a camper plenty of times, but having to take even that split second to take out your gun from your knife can cost you your life, or at least the round. The main idea of this here paragraph is that, you should only really be out running with your knife in the beginning, to get in position fast, say for example as a CT on de_dust, you want to get to to that ledge aiming to the tunnel before the T's get get behind those boxes. That's a good time to take out your knife. That should be obvious, but I'm just taking examples. What I'm saying is, once the battle (gunshots, first kill) has started, you shouldn't pull out your knife. Period. Some people may disagree, but it might be a good idea because of the numerous amounts of campers out there.



You never know where they will be next.

You pop a corner with your knife hoping to get to the objectives as fast as you can, but chances are you will get killed because smart campers usually camp near the objectives. So, yea...I'de be repeating what I said up there...well, if you skipped to this comment directly, see comment #6 to see what I mean.

... or, if they were aiming at your chest (whichI sure as hell always do) they just scored a headshot. I love it when people duck, it:

A)Makes them stationary.

B)makes it so that about 1/3rd of what I can hit is now their head.

C)Helps me to get almost all of my Beretta kills!
