CPL Championship

The CPL is winding down. Today the two best clans in the world, as named by the CPL, will face eachother to finish off the World Championship Event. Sweden's Ninjas in Pyjamas (seeded #1) will battle it out with America's Xtreme 3 (seeded #2) in Jo Bieg's de_nuke. The winner will walk away with $50,000 (US) and will make one side of the Atlantic proud.



Match #1 - demo

X3 over NiP, 16-12 (including OT).



X3 as CTs on de_nuke: 7-5, X3 over NiP

X3 as Ts on de_nuke: 5-7, NiP over X3

X3 had an early lead at Terrorists with 5-1 -- then they blew it, losing all following rounds. NiP started out unorganized, but quickly organized while X3's plans fell apart.

Tied Match - OT Rounds

OT round #1: X3 as CTs 3-0, X3 over NiP (1 more round to win match)

OT round #2: X3 as Ts 1-0, X3 over NiP



eXtreme 3 makes it to the championship finals!!!!! X3 will have to win the following match to be champions, otherwise NiP walks away with gold.



Match #2 - demo

NiP over X3 13-11



X3 as Terrorists tie with NiP, 6-6. X3 is usually stronger as CTs and pistol rounds. First clan to 7 in next round wins the tournament.

I'm rooting for NiP, despite liking X3.



I'm also thoroughly impressed by clan mTw.GoL, as they came to the CPL without an autoberth, started at the bottom of the 64 clan ladder and worked all the way up to 3rd place. Clans with autoberths such as X3 or NiP only had to fight through a 32 clan ladder. Congratulations mTw - you have my respect.



Something that made me feel good inside is that Star Nova Troopers (clan ]SNT[) beat PAG. My clan SM, or Social Menace, have beaten SNT before. I suddenly feel very special to be ranked higher than a CAL Invite clan :). Oh yeah, SM is recruiting, this isnt a recruitment board or anything but #socialmenace in gamesnet kids, talk to sublyme if interested

This event has just proved the europe is the leading area in cs, so cpl, SUPPORT US, give us events, make us love u, not hate u because u just do events in america.



Nip = n1 for a few years i would say, they have proved this over and over again.



/me thinks next cpl should be cheaters vs nip, see who wins :)
