NiP vs mTw
NiP over mTw 13-8. Congrats to NiP (Sweden) going to the next round, the Upper Bracket Finals!
Round #1: mTw over NiP 7-5. mTw as CTs on inferno. An incredible match. NiP started off with an early lead, but mTw managed to win most of the rounds after the first four.
Round #2: NiP came back to win it in nine rounds (8-1). mTw's Scandinavian side is an amazing clan and best of wishes to them. NiP lost the pistol round, which seems routine for Europeon clans and may come back to bite them in tomorrow's finals.
X3 vs Infernum
X3, seeded #2, beat the talented Infernum, seeded #19, with a score of 13-6 on inferno. Congrats to eXtreme 3 (US) to making it to the UB finals, again.
It's actually quite impressive that Infernum got this far and won 6 rounds versus X3. They have a chance to make it far next time around.
Aftermath
I was unimpressed with the organization of HLTV servers. It was largely an IRC guessing game. Hopefully, tomorrow's X3 and NiP match things will be sorted it out -- but I doubt it. The match we've all been waiting for, the US' eXtreme 3 and Sweden's Ninjas in Pajamas is set to take place tomorrow morning. Who's going to win? At this point, it's impossible to tell. Infernum and mTw both took big bites out of the challengers, which proves that neither clan is entirely perfect. It's those imperfections that will make the other clan an Upper Bracket Champion.
Tomorrow's match will take place on de_train, a map that X3 is very strong on. Again, NiP was seeded #1 and X3 was seeded #2.
