    Doug Lombardi (Valve) talks Counter-Strike

Avault has interviewed Doug Lombardi from Valve about various topics, including Counter-Strike's effect on Valve, the upcoming CPL Championships and Workshop, and the ubiquitous other.
Could you detail the fruits of your relationship with the CPL as it regards Counter-Strike?

When the CPL moved CS to the center of this year's events, it triggered the same decision for similar organizations around the world. Obviously, that raised global awareness of the game quite a bit, but it also placed a new emphasis on how we approached CS' ongoing development. Spectatorship became the centerpiece of the 1108 update, for example. As we work with Gearbox on Condition Zero, we're experimenting with several new features designed to enhance CS as a competitive gaming platform.
One wonders how Condition Zero will be handled in upcoming CPL events. Read on!

What a softball interview. They didn't even ask Valve about their supposed anti-cheat solution.
