If you come upon a group of enemies your best bet is usually to fall back a little bit and wait. Even though the m3 handles pretty well at medium ranges, it inflicts so much damage at point blank that most (almost all...hehe) enemies can be taken out in one shot. Close range is your friend with the m3.
Medium Range
At medium ranges the m3 still proves to do its job. Jumping around like a madman is a must since the accuracy doesn't seem to decrease no matter how crazy you get. It's going to take you 3 or 4 shots, maybe 5 if they are good, but if you keep moving you can buy yourself the time to take these shots.
