My good friend, Spensar "redefine" Nerrish, has updated that little Planet Half-Life site with work of Half-Life turning three years old yesterday. Great job Valve, I'm sure you guys are pleased to know that after three years Half-Life is still the king.
Even after great games like No One Lives Forever, Deus Ex, Max Payne, and many more, Half-Life is still the de facto single player standard and what we compare all other games to. Their multiplayer community is vast, with a great sub-set of mods that really kicked the multiplayer scene into high gear. I don't want to rant on and on, Valve's accomplishment is to great for words.
Congratulations, Valve!
