Harder, better, faster, stronger. That's what the new World Cyber Games is setting out to be with the induction of their worldwide preliminaries featuring top games like Quake 3, Unreal Tournament, and, of course, Counter-Strike. According to the press release, 25-35 countries will hold their qualifiers, which will then converge in Korea for a shot at the $300,000 USD prize purse.



The next preliminary for Counter-Strike (in the UK) will be in Nottingham on Saturday, October 27th. Want more info? hit the WCG site for the low-down.

World Cyber Games

Midway of GotFrag has updated his coverage of WCG Korea. He's flown to Korea to document the event as it unfolds and update his site accordingly. Apparently, Rizzuh has been too busy playing unreleased games to do the same.  



Team 3D, which is representing the US, was placed in one of the hardest brackets in the tournament. In their match against nEph, Team 3D's playing just wasn't up to par, says Moto. After their loss to nEph, 3D went on to beat Fzer0 and advance in the tournament.

Why we have to visit his site??? I mean WCG has their own site and stats updated every hourse. http://www.worldcybergames.org, its english site not just korean site.
