Counter-Strike has, for the third time, been named Planet Half-Life's Mod of the Week (note that the first MotW listing isn't listed). Included is a mini-CS 1.3 review:
The most stunning new feature in Counter-Strike 1.3 is not the new levels or the retouched player models, but the voice communication feature Valve has installed. The software works without a hitch, creating no noticeable slowdown and allowing for a much more strategic gameplay. Occasionally, you will run into a couple immaturellamas who will try their best Darth Vader impression, but the mute function, I am pleased to say, works very well also. The Weapons all have Gooseman's lovingly rendered quality to them, and all the animations work correctly. The player models do seem slightly touched up, but I can't quite put my finger on how.Nice job, CS!
