Counter-Strike [uk] has just added a new article by Snake~eyes. He argues that PunkBuster is “the biggest waste of hard-drive space out there.”
I've heard that some people think when PunkBuster started to be used, it made hacking worse. Here's the reason: when CS first came out it was simple to make hacks and crappy aimbots. Well, since just about anyone who knew a little bit about coding could make an aimbot, the decent coders and hackers didn't bother programming a good one. When PunkBuster came along, it stopped everyone from making aimbots, everyone except good coders and hackers. Since they were good, they made good aimbots and good hacks.
