    Erik Johnson I'view

Eric Johnson from Valve has been interviewed over at speakeasy.net. They're all CS questions. In case you don't know, Erik Johnson is the team lead for the group that is updating CS and various other HL mods. Here's a bit:
Will CS now be updated more regularly to fight the cheats that will be coming out?

    [Erik Johnson] Yes.

Many players will complain that the gameplay has been affected, were there any deliberate changes and who was primarily responsible for them?

[Erik Johnson] Fixing problems with the hit boxes is going to change gameplay. Internally we see a lot more headshots than in 1.1.
Finally! Thanks for the news, PHL.

    Erik Johnson I'view

CS-Extreme has posted an interview with Erik Johnson, project manager at Valve, as a followup to their preview of Tracker:
    Q. Will Tracker be included in CS 1.4 Final?

[Erik Johnson] Tracker will only be available through Steam, which is due to ship as part of the CS 1.5 update.
    Somewhat short but rather interesting.

Well CS: CZ is supposedly coming out on April 30th or at least that is what Amazon.com is saying. Now the CS 1.4 patch is (I think) coming out at the same time...

Edit: after reading this I guess the date is wrong :[

Which gives them about a 5 year timeframe to beta test it. By 2013, steam will be version 9.3 and still require a reboot after playing on a single server. Tracker will come in handy when you want to tell your buddies how cool it is to simulate oral sex now that the models' mouths move to match radio commands.

Undocumented adjustments to input devices that no one really asked for will have been made on a bi-weekly basis. Just because.
