Thanks to JCal for informing us that HomeLAN will now ban cheaters from its entire network, instead of on a per-server basis. Eventually they'll make their banned.cfg file public so anyone can instantly get rid of all those evil cheating bastards. Here's a quote:

Cheating and hacks have always been serious problems for gamers. To combat them, we've implemented a process to remove a significant amount of these malicious players from our servers. Over the past year a special system has been in place observing exactly what has happened in our Counter-Strike servers. Specific compilations of statistical data, alongside a whole slew of information we have no intention of revealing, has enabled us to know which players are using cheats. To start, we have put together a list of nearly one thousand blatantly obvious cheaters and/or hackers. These users have all been added to our system-wide banlist.I've never really liked the idea of a blacklist, but I respect HomeLAN. Maybe it'd be better if they just kept it internal? Either way, I think they're be fairly responsible!
