Yes, that's right, kiddies! Today CS-Nation, this very site, turns two years old!!!!
And what a trip it's been.. Wow!
A little forum post about an up-and-coming Planet CS site interested me. A few days later I joined the team, producing some strategies and what have you. The story goes that a few days before launch GameSpy wouldn't let us use the name Planet CS, so the then webmaster, Crazed-Dingo, chose CS Legacy. It was deemed by Synax, CD's good pal, that CS Legacy was officially an ass-name. For some reason they chose an equally ass-name, CS-Nation, to be its replacement.
And on August 17th, 1999 Fraggie launched our little CS fansite, short and to the point:
The Gods of Irony decided to attack us, as in October, 2000 cliffe contacted us about moving to CS.net. After saying that I was "thicker than crazed-dingo" a friendship between myself and cliffe was born! The RzE and cliffe duo would save lives every day with their fast wit and cunning HTML skills. As you can tell, we decided to move to CS.net and bathe in the glory.
After a couple months it became clear that I was the only one really doing anything for the site (how history repeats.. just kidding of course!) and everyone loved me and sent me flowers and I was king. With that in mind, after telling Crazed-Dingo I'd like to be webmaster he proceeded to delete the site. That ended his official reign, and thus began my on-going tyranny.
In April, 2001 I was feeling quite busy and decided to unload my duties to a temporary webmaster who could set things straight around the site. ChuChuRocket was selected to replace me. Then ChuChuRocket disappeared and I sat around doing nothing for a few months.
Actually we're still in those "few months" so I guess that concludes this history lesson. Bye!
..
Gah, are you still here?! Well, I guess I have to give you meddling kids something. Here's a preview of the new site:

Counterstrike Nation LaunchesOf course everyone realized how utterly stupid an "official" fansite was, and we took down that subtitle a few days later.

Counterstrike Nation the official Counterstrike fan site, has launched here at PHL. They've got Counterstrike strategies, tips, downloads, and a whole bunch of other stuff, so head on over.
