Saw this on the Shack. Apparently, some new studies have manipulated statistics to show that video games may increase aggressive behavior.
The investigators found that playing violent video games seemed to cause a weak to moderate increase in aggressive thinking and aggressive feelings, physiological arousal, and the likelihood of acting aggressively towards another person. Playing violent video games also decreased the likelihood the person would help another person.You can be sure this study is going to be used by some politicians to attempt to keep fun games out of your hands while they go off and sleep with their interns.
``There's this tendency to believe violent media affect other people, but it doesn't affect me,'' Bushman said. ``Despite what people think, they do increase aggression, and the impact is substantial.''
