Just noticed this over at The Shack, but Valve supposedly will release a new patch tomorrow, this will bring HL up to version 1.1.0.7 and accompanied will be the Counter-Strike Retail patch that updates CS (remember, that's the retail version, for you slow folk!) to 1.0.0.2. The Half-Life patch will include such delightful features as:
Note by rizzuh Arr, don't get ye britches in a bunch! This update doesn't even touch CS. The CS update won't come for a few weeks now, it will be released along with ANOTHER Half-Life update that adds voice and proxy spectator mode. CS 1.3 and the HL 1.1.0.8 patch and their retail brother HL: CS 1.0.0.3 will likely be released on the same day.

I guess this is better than nothing, but right now "nothing" equals corruption and cheating. Oh well, hopefully the new update system is better than the current Sierra Utilities' Autoupdate.- Deathmatch Classic
