CS Maps has been updated with a review of de_celtic by Vanx. Here's the obligatory tidbit:

The unique thing about this map is the bombsites. Instead of bombing the usual stack of crates, the terrorists are supposed to bomb one of two missiles pointing at the sky ready to be launched. The only potential problem I see with the map is players might start complaining about how badly the AWP is “whored” on this map, and I’m sure there are lots of people out there that get angry at the “over-usage” of the weapon.

He would also like to hug and make up for telling me de_Dawn was made by DaveJ. I accept!



Counter-Strike Norge, designed for you Norwegians out there (the interview is in English), has been updated with a 3dmike interview. He made de_survivor.

I've received requests to post stuff to do with custom maps and mapping so here goes...

About a year ago, someone here posted a link to the extremely buggy and slow version of a map entitled "de_apcrally" by a guy named Lvirus. Now about a year later, the final version is out. It's a very entertaining defuse map with excellent design and tons of variety. Dont believe me? Click here to download the map.

If you want to test it with more people, come and join the fun at his server naps.kqgames.com:27015 . Be warned though, the server is in Europe, more accurately Finland so the americans might have a hard time with their pings. Give it a go anyway. You can probably see me at the server too, so that should be reason enough to dl the map and try it out.
