    CPL implements age restrictions

The Adrenaline Vault is reporting that the CPL is implementing some new age restrictions for its upcoming tournaments:
First, the CPL will now require picture identification from each participant or a legal guardian escorting them to the event. Second, minors who are age 16 can still enter tournaments during 2001 but must present valid identification and a signed parental release form. Those who are age 15 or less can participate in the BYOC area of an event but not in official tournaments -- and will be required to present a different parental release form and be accompanied at the hand of an adult when signing in.
The league will also not allow gamers under the age of 17 to compete in official tournaments featuring M-rated games - such as Counter-Strike - after the end of this year. Read all about it.
