The Adrenaline Vault is reporting that the CPL is implementing some new age restrictions for its upcoming tournaments:
The league will also not allow gamers under the age of 17 to compete in official tournaments featuring M-rated games - such as Counter-Strike - after the end of this year. Read all about it.First, the CPL will now require picture identification from each participant or a legal guardian escorting them to the event. Second, minors who are age 16 can still enter tournaments during 2001 but must present valid identification and a signed parental release form. Those who are age 15 or less can participate in the BYOC area of an event but not in official tournaments -- and will be required to present a different parental release form and be accompanied at the hand of an adult when signing in.
