Well, it ain't the Easter Bunny, but the 500-pound gorillas over at KQGames gathered a basket of easter eggs from the six new maps that were included in the 1.1 release. Hop on over here to read about 'em all.

Easter Eggs!

I've added some new Easter Eggs to the site. Here's the run-down:

• cs_havana - this map is brand new in cs 1.4. its easter egg is easy to find, but it's actually a pretty cool egg, too.
  
  
  
  
• cs_siege - i've added a very interesting texturing pattern in this map that shows a wolf and an elf. the elf looks a lot like gorilla warfare, however. :d
  
  
  
  
• de_storm - we've added more info about the grave (it's not so empty) and a bit about an ak that is left around after an explosion.

In other content update news, I've re-done the About CS-Nation page. Mainly it's us patting ourselves on the backs, but there are four images of our past designs. They suck in comparison to what we use now (pfft), so it might be an interesting history lesson. I've also added recent CSN supporters to the thanks list.

Weekly recap: On Tuesday, Exo posted his review of the All-Seeing Eye server browser. It got a 9/10 and received the CS-Nation Editor's Choice award. On Thursday, RockSteady added another great article to the CSN collection: Map-Quest. Map-Quest looks at what it means to be a mapper today and what makes a map, well, good. Yesterday I posted this week's mailbag. The topic is being a newbie and many people have said that this is one of my best mailbags ever. I don't believe them, but whatever.

Awesome. I like the torn easter egg the best even though I don't like the map. The one on vegas looks hard as hell to pull off. The one on siege is freaky. As for the Bout CS Nation page I rememebr all those designs but registered during the 3 one. Nice work.

If you read the epitaph on the grave, you may notice that Daank made a typo on the texture.



Also, the faces on Siege aren't supposed to be there, it's just the way the textues align.



How the hell do you pick up the AK on Storm? When I played the map back when it was still in beta, you couldn't do it...
