Oh, I'm a riot when it comes to thinking of catchy titles. Anyway, there's a ten question Q & A over at ZeroPing. Here's a bit I liked:
And the girls over at Edge-Online slapped up a feature column with everyone's favorite developer. Catch a piece of that as well:Question #3: Can we look forward to other ideas and games which you will develop someday on your own?
[Gooseman] I'd definately like to do another game the exact same way I did Counter-Strike. It was an awesome feeling building something piece by piece and releasing versions every couple of months or so. I'd totally love to do it again with a new engine.
This column was written for a magazine, so take into account that it has been "held back" (so to speak) for two months until the hard copy mag was released. It's a good read, though. One particular feature I’d like to add to promote team play is a planning stage that occurs before the beginning of rounds. A team leader would devise a plan and set out waypoints for the team to follow, or split the team up into two or three groups and give each group a set of waypoints. When the round starts, everyone knows where they SHOULD be, and everyone is on the same page.
