CheckOut.com has posted a neat-o bot feature, which features interviews from various CS bot makers. Tidbit:
Check [it] Out.comWhat makes a good bot?
Daniel Ditlew: A good bot gives you a challenge when playing, without making you feel the bot is cheating.
Bobafett: Players want bots to simulate a real person as much as possible. They want bots to have variety. Besides, having 19 bots with the same thing in mind (deathmatch) isn't exactly fun if it's a teamplay game. You want people to take objectives seriously.
Stefan Hendriks: It should navigate well, perform its objectives and fight pretty well. Teamwork and communications are especially handy for a Counter-Strike bot.
