Having trouble reading that small font in your console/on the screen? Check this out:
I created a new console-font for counter-strike. this font is larger and much easier to read than the original font, especially at a 1024*768 screen resolution or higher. you can download the font and see sample-screenshots on my web-site at http://www6.ewebcity.com/thomas/hlfont.html. the .zip-file is only 13 kB, and the 'gfx.wad' is easy to install (just put it into the 'half-life/cstrike'-directory). There are two different font-colors.Try to resist the urge.
