CS beta 2.1 Patch!

Well its out, the patch for the newly released beta2, and its well recieved fixing those ugly telefrag messes on Alley and a bunch of other stuff. Here's the low down:



BETA 2.1 ----- 8.17.99

- added new version of cs_assault (compatible w/ hlserver.exe)

- added scientist model for hlserver.exe (sans ventgibs.mdl)

- added assault's proper sky

- fixed telefragging (cs_alley will no longer telefrag)

- fixed dropweapon

- fixed those spurious 'player joined' messages

- changed Ak-47 price

Well there you have it, GO download it ! Also a quick msg from Cliffe to all the server admins out there. "Server admins, please put "Beta2.1" somewhere in your server name, so players will know. This is because 2.0 and 2.1 are not compatible" And thats about it.

Yes yes, it was quite informative. I think all the experiments and tests they did were interesting.. I dled the maps for my own experimentations..*evil grin*..MuAhAhHaAhAa...excellent..excellent..

Unfortunately, I can't get the codec to work properly so I can't see all the good footage that he has to show..damn.

What I really like is that it finally proves some stuff about the m4a1 n shit.. like how the silencer only affects muffle flash in your point of view and how the siliencer reduces damage. However, I was really disappointed that they didn't settle the argument regarding the affect on accuracy that putting the silencer on has, if any.

All in all that stuff was really interesting..

Also another -must read-.. under the 'Author' section, he writes >quite< a descriptive experience of him "Giving head to a girl."

He most likely didn't write an extra snippet about the accuracy of the M4A1 because of the randomization of full-auto on any gun in CS. He couldn't put a video of both silenced and non-silenced going full auto, but the author also pointed out that from his perspective the accuracy looks the same (unofficially).
