Also, the pack is free from their website also... I don't know where you got the idea that you have to pay for it. Even the password is supplied on the gamesfusion website. All you are doing is wasting your time by providing an already free pack for free again.

it was originally non-public. tragic sprites owner had beef w/fusion for doing the same un-professional thing they always do, and decided to let people get the pack for free.

and it does work, i copy/pasted the link onto a ftp program and was downloading it...

Uhm....i downloaded it anyways to check it out....nothing special at all.........radio sounds blow....and the made my default web browser to the gamesfusion.net or whatever, and gave a bunch of links for jobs and other scams...tsss...

The Fusion Packs used to be pretty popular, back before everyone was trying to make their own model packs. Unlike our beloved CSN, they weren't hosted by gamespy, and so they have to pay for their own bandwidth.



To help pay for some of those charges... they charged a small fee to be able to download the pack. This went on for a while, until somebody got fed up with the fact that they were making money off of other people's work, and on top of that were not even including credits to who made each model. That, in my opinion, was pretty unprofessional of them, as the people who invest the time and effort to make quality models for FREE certainly deserve credit for their work.



Anyway, since it was pretty much universally agreed that it was horribly wrong of games-fusion to be handling matters as they were, they changed the pack to be free, and started trying to credit authors more (though I don't think they've ever been really good about it). Since then, their website has also turned into an ad-infested piece of crap, in their attempt to pay for the high cost of running a website. For CSN, registration fees allow for things like the contests held every once in a while and such, as the web fees are covered for us.



So that's the background info. Posting things like "FUCK THE FUZION PACK THOSE BASTARDS!" make you look like an 11-year-old idiot with a broken capslock. I keep on trying to optimistically think that one of these days, people will realize that nobody's forcing them to download any of the files we link to here, and so they don't have to express their rage that the quality wasn't everything they ever hoped and dreamed for. Realistically, though, there will always be those few who simply don't get it.

It actually does, though I'm not completely sure to what extent. I'm not sure if those of you who aren't Nationalists see pop-up ads ever, or if those only happen to people who don't even have accounts. However, Nationalists don't see advertisement "buttons" (remember rizzuh's recent public advertising schemes?) like everyone else might have to from time to time. Beyond that, though, I'd have to ask rizzuh, because I am unfortunately not quite omnicient... yet.

I think Rze said before that just being a normal non-nationalist member gets rid of the pop-ups or whatever. This site has always had very few annoying adverts anyway.

If the fusion ppl like to give away crap for free, let them do so. No need to insult them, they do no harm. I too dislike sites like theirs, so I just don't visit them, or at least leave them as soon as I recognize their nature.
