Narby sent over new shots of the updated de_aztec. Aztec is the third most popular map in the world and very popular within leagues. For this reason, the changes do not modify the layout but only improve the map aesthetically and remove some age-old exploits.

Not a whole lot has changed since we first introduced the updated Aztec (click for some older shots). Notable improvements include fixed lighting under the bridge, grating for the river-exit under bombsite A, appropriate colors for bombsite labels, and some texture improvements.
Other subtle improvements have been added. For example, if you were killed while planting at bombsite A there was a slight chance that the bomb would fall between the two crates. This could also be used as a possible exploit, but is now fixed.
CS-Nation has confirmed that this version of de_aztec and an updated version of de_inferno will appear in CS 1.6. CS 1.6 will probably not ship with the Counter-Strike: Condition Zero updates, but will be Steam-powered allowing those components to be added when Condition Zero actually does ship.
