It was made from scratch, all the textures are new, and the original source wasn't decompiled. Narby doesn't own the map as it is - he owns the HL version (well, Valve do technically, but lets not get into that whole argument), this is merely a recreation for a completely different platform - they aren't competing products, and no one is losing sales. No problem.



Its all irrelevant anyway, as he's fine with it (as you'd know, if you had read the forum thread on this).

You seem to have missed my point completely. I marvel at how games have a certain effect on the weak minded such as I marvel at the way Hannibal lecter has the same effect (he actually made a man swallow his own tongue and die by just talking to him)



Videogames do have an effect whether you want to realize this or not. Flight simulators are video games but are used in training pilots. This definitely has an effect in the way a pilot would fly.



The fact that a videogame played a substantial role in the murder of 15 people becuase two crazed teenage children were lopsided in values and morales does not make that video game deficient in anyway. The good stuff definitely didnt end up on the cutting room floor.



I like the game becuase it made 2 kids go pyshco. I like porno becuase it makes me want to screw. I like drugs becuase they make me High. I like beer becuase it makes me drunk. I like food becuase it makes me not hungry. I like Rocky becuase it makes me want to box. I like Menace 2 society becuase it makes me want to Do a drive-by. In closing I like the bad things but Really I just like things that work. And it's working.

What an Idiot. Games are not made to make people kill others. Its just a game. Natural Born Killers was one of the best movies of the 90s and I heard a lot of talk about how people would want to go out and kill people after seeing it. they just said it was too crazy. Games or Movies don't cause people to go crazy. It just gives people something to blame it on. Crazy people are crazy. You think it is something as simple as a game that causes a murder to happen?
