it'll probably use the Half-Life engine, since it is still Half-Life: Counter-Strike.

Last time I checked, CS2 was just a rumor. As is HL2.

CS2 is a "confirmed rumor" as is HL2. Everyone on the CS team admits to it being in production, but valve hasn't officialy launched it or announced a press release of its launch.

Does that make any sense? Why would he use an already outdated engine for a sequel?

I have an idea Lets just use that HL2 engine for CS 2. Still HL/CS.

Wow, if you can convert the maps to look that good maybe they should convert the entire mod over to the newewst UT engine since the HL one is so old. But then again....... CS is always great the way it is.

They would lose a lot of players by moving the development to UT2K3...more than a lot.

CS2 is in development and will use TF2/HL2 engine technology.

Will CS2 be a proper sequel, then, and utilizte the Quake2 engine?
