WCCS Championships Tonight

The World Cup of Counter-Strike league will have its first playoff match between Task Force Ranger and Trademark Triads. The match will be broadcasted on HLTV so everyone can watch the drama live. The match will be played Thursday, October 10 (tonight!) at 9:30 PM EST. The HLTV server IP is 66.151.108.203:27021.



In a related note, WCCS is accepting signups for next season and spots are filling up fast. What's the World Cup of CS?

The World Cup of Counter-Strike is a league where everything we do has the CS player in mind. This isn't just a cliche but the reality of our league, "A league for players, by players, with no BS." It's a competitive league and everything done is a competition: from the matches to the World Cups and from stats to betting. Hell, even before a match starts there's a competition! Each team nominates a match player prior to the match for a knife fight. The winner of the fight gets to pick if their team starts as T's or CT's.

And what sets the World Cup of CS apart from other leagues?

So to view a game in HLTV, I just click on Play CS, then Spectate Game and find the IP right? I've never actually watched a match, but tonight will be the first.



Also, something I've been trying to find out for ages. What does the fy in fy_iceworld mean? I've always thought F You since Iceworld is so much against teamwork and strategy, the basis of good counterstrike. Anyone know the real answer??

i think it's easier to go into your console and type:

connect <insert server IP here> <hit the enter key>

Ok dumbass me has finally realised, If you ahve a computer, click onthe clock icon, it shoudl be set at your time, then when you look at est it will show you the difference, Please excuse former requests for proper time (even tho GMT si an international standard) So for all youuk people, Adn the rest of the world, EST is

Take the distance between the two... and you get 9:30pm Thursday + 13hrs = 10:30am Friday Filipino time. If my brother hadn't just gotten back recently from a trip to the Philippines, I probably wouldn't have known that, or cared. :) Hope you don't have school then, bwahahaha!



Dang... a knife fight to pick starting positions... that's freaking awesome! I love knife fights, one on one, skill against skill, no tricks, no recoil -- melee combat is great. :) And online betting to top it off... who could ask for anything more? I'll be tuned in.
