    Stolen Content

One of "our" recently posted articles was blatantly plagiarized from some checkers tactics website. I'll give you time to stop laughing at the concept of checker tactics. The article we posted was entitled "Being a Leader," so if you read it in its entirety you are now a checkers master.

DocUK, who plagiarized the article, is no longer on the CSN team. For weeks now, DocUK has been very helpful with posting news, and I just don't get why he went and did this. There you go. It really was a unique way to get fired, so I guess he gets bonus points.

I'm very sorry to all the checkers websites that were hurt over the last few days. But seriously, I'm legitimately sorry to our visitors. This is very embarrassing and I sincerely hope that no one paints this site with a negative brush. We have posted more content than any other CS or HL site out there, and one screw-up certainly doesn't reflect on the rest of our great features or the rest of our great team.

Okay, so maybe it's two screw-ups counting the UKTerrorist thing. You know, maybe you should just stop visiting this site altogether. We really suck. Jeez!![break="example of the crime!"]Now personally I find a bit of humor in this. The fact is that both articles, the original and the one DocUK made Counter-Strike-ish by doing a Find & Replace, make little-to-no sense and have the vocabulary of a Berkeley student attempting to argue with her parents whilst displaying her own intellectual prowess simply to impress said parents as if they will fall back from their opinions.

With this great source material, DocUK's next article would probably be a rip-off of The Scarlet Letter.

Anyway, here's a comparison so those who missed out on the fun won't feel left behind.

    Original:
Whatever subject a person selects, he wants to learn the methods used by the leading exponents in that field. If you are an ambitious golfer you read about the strokes of the top-flight pros and listen to expert tips. In checkers, peculiarly, the novice has been neglected by the authorities despite an overabundance of literature dealing with the results of tournaments, matches, and other games played by adepts. These books are supplemented with a follow-up of copious analysis in magazines and newspaper columns yet little or nothing is written explaining the principles and ideas that constitute the game's science in a manner suitable for the beginner. They all make the mistake of trying to bridge the gap between the first grade starter and the expert with a few generalities instead of giving concrete advice.
    And what DocUK posted:

His enter key did a lot of work, folks.

The article really didn't make a lot of sense. All it did was teach us a few new words.. it doesn't work for checkers or counter-strike.

And maybe they copied CSN rizzuh. I don't know, it could be a possibility?

Have your fun, Myers, but I have visited UKTerrorist many times this month and it has yet to improve my checkers skills!

CSN, on the other hand.. Let's just say that I can control the center. And make inane analogies.

If that happened, they can keep it.

sounds like someone needs to be more carefull picking his newzies and content kiddies. first we had the mad man flek0 who ran the cheat site, and now docuk who transformed a checkers strat into a cs strat...

the rest of the csn team is great tho!

Well.. honestly, there's just as much a chance that they copied us, as we copied them. Sure it was probably us copying them, but what the hell it's something to argue about.

Which is worse, the person who wrote the article or the person who copied it?

Eh, probably the one who copied it simply because they thought it was such a good article they should.

Edit: I hate you ace, I was going to add this to the end of my post but you posted imbetween it. INTENTIONALLY I'M SURE!

yes, i thought that the article had nothing to do with leading a team, and got very off topic at somepoints... thats pretty funny tho
