KhAoS wrote..Use the "Enable cache loading" feature (right click on the mod icon in the Steam window)... Let Steam download the whole mod (this can take a while). You'll see the steam icon spining in the system tray.... Next time you play the mod will connect as fast as the normal mod (or nearly).
(...) anyways steam might be useful if it doesnt download the game every time you play it. (..)

Right the whole beta test will be for people who have a steam account now (or create one) and create a new account when the beta is released, to set up a account for 2.0 rather than user yer old one. Also the teleportation device for TFC looks cool, me being a avid fan of it in CustomTFComment

I am the cyberprophet, behold my words.
When Valve can no longer milk HL, they will release TF2 bundled with free mods such as CS2 and perhaps new versions of other successful mods from HL. That way, they will transfer a big part of the HL community directly over to TF2 and will be able to continue to dominate the FPS genre.Comment

Yeah... MS Word only has a pinball game, whereas Excel has a flight simulator in it... stupid microsoft easter eggs wasting my hard drive space.
Someone find me a program that has none of those 3 games.
Microsoft Word, Grim Fandango, Quake blah blah blah...blaz1n_azn wrote...
Duh... seeing as he PAYED for it, there's no reason why he wouldn't keep it. If Nationalist status could be revoked just because someone acted in an immature manner, or moreso if someone acted like a complete ass... well, let's just say there wouldn't be nearly so many Nationalists as there are now.
On another note, is DocUK still a cs-nationalistbbck wrote...
I, for one, am looking forward to challenging a few of you mere mortals to a lively round of checkers.

I bet no one will play them too
Seriously... I wouldn't be surprised if they find some of us playing a few rounds of checkers for kicks, just to laugh a bit more over all of this. Sounds like a nice idea for when you're waiting around, assuming that they keep the social aspects in there.

HAVE THEY THOUGH!? HAVE THEY!?John Cook - Online Development Manager
Formerly of Team Fortress software, John manages online platform development for Team Fortress 2 and other projects. Before that, John studied computer science at RMIT in Australia. John is apparently still suffering jetlag from the move to Seattle, as he doesn't seem to be able to make it in to work until past noon.
Robin Walker — Design Manager
Robin co-wrote the hugely popular Quake mod Team Fortress with John Cook and Ian Caughley, before being assimilated when Valve acquired Team Fortress Software. He's now hard at work managing the Team Fortress 2 design and art, and has no time to answer email, so please don't send him any. Easily identified by the large inflatable kangaroo mounted on his monitor, Robin has no idea how to relax now that his hobby has become his job.Comment
