Great article, now I can finally add breasts to all my guns in CS. This is going to be great...

(no, I didn't read it, heh, unless looking at some pictures counts)

[Edit: Hmm, this seems to be more difficult than I had anticipated... can anyone explain where the boobies go on the AWP? I want them to jiggle every time I work the bolt...]

Very nice Chad... anyone who wishes to come discuss the tutorial can do so on the DosFX IRC network - irc.dosfx.com #dosfx or #thezone

Is that thing in front of the breast a hand? lol.

[I fixed your broken link... I don't know why.]
I myself was wondering the same thing...wtf is that hand doing there? lmao. :0

In case you really didn't get it... that hand is from the front view of the model, which is to the right. The arms stick straight out to the sides, and so that was the right hand of the same model, but looking at it from the front, make sense?

              Like this...

              O......O......

              |o.>-o+o-<

              |.......|......

              |....../.\.....

Yay for ascii art. Boo for auto-removal of spaces (thus the dots).

Does this enable me to make new Balinese terrors? then......

                      LOL Ghengis...

There's probably tools out there to do it (what comes next, not the previously mentioned modifications), but if there are, they likely cost waaay too much money, but anyway...

As far as player modeling goes, i think there should be a "character generator" type of program, with inputs as far as gender, height, weight, muscularity in different areas, chest size, clothes style/fit, etc. Then it'd generate a basic model, and you could tweak it quickly with sliders. Then all you'd have to do is mess with the facial detail some, tweak a few parts here and there, and skin it. Seems like there's a lot of work that could be automated in this process.

As far as weapon models go... I want a digital camera that has both the normal picture element of regular cameras, plus a radar/sonar or whatever element that could get a picture of the depth at each position. Take pictures from each perspective, and let the computer put the model together, then touch it up.

In other words, I just don't have enough patience, I think, to invest enough time to make a model that I would actually be happy with. If I ever decide I feel like paying for milkshape, though, perhaps I could reanimate a few models that have really poor animations currently...
